Charter Fitness Employees to Participate in Ultimate Hike Benefiting CureSearch for Children's Cancer

CHICAGO, Oct. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Charter Fitness' Director of Sales, Dan Collins, and Director of Personal Training, Roger McGreal, will participate in the Ultimate Hike benefiting CureSearch for Children's Cancer on October 20, 2012.

The Ultimate Hike is a 30-mile trek on the Tecumseh Trail in Yellowwood State Forest located in Nashville, Indiana, and will raise money for CureSearch for Children's Cancer, a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to fund and support children's cancer research. Childhood cancer is the number one cause of death by disease in children. Both Collins and McGreal are excited to see how much their hard work will pay off in the fight against childhood cancer.

"I am a father of two beautiful girls.  I know what it is like to worry, fret, and protect as a parent.  I wanted to do something that could help children and parents in need in any way, no matter how small," said Collins.

Collins and McGreal are undergoing 14 weeks of training in preparation for the physically demanding journey over sometimes densely-wooded paths and up and down hills of 200 to 300-foot elevations. They will ascend close to 3,500 feet during the hike.

"Dan and I are going to push ourselves to our physical limits to help fight childhood cancer. We need your help to reach our fundraising goal. Whatever you can give will help," said McGreal.
