Chevrolet Supports Toys for Tots through Donation and Toy Drive
Collection under way at 27 local dealerships
WASHINGTON, Nov. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Chevrolet is partnering with DC's 107.3 and the U.S. Marine Corps for its annual Toys for Tots campaign. To ensure that children throughout the Washington, D.C. area receive a gift this holiday season, Chevrolet today donated $5,000 to Toys for Tots and kicked-off a toy drive that will run through December 14.
"Chevrolet is committed to working with local charities to provide gifts to children during the holiday season," said Mark Hogland, Chevrolet zone manager. "With the community's generosity, together we can give a child the gift of a magical holiday season. It takes all of us, working together, to make real changes."
Said retired Marine Major Bill Grein, vice president of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation: "We are very fortunate to have the generous support of the Washington D.C. Area Chevrolet Dealers. No doubt, with the toys collected at their area dealerships, along with their $5,000 contribution, we will be able to fulfill the Christmas holiday dreams of many less fortunate children, who otherwise might have been overlooked."
