Chicago Startup PartySlate Closes Three Million Dollar Seed Round, Announces Dallas Launch And Partners With Celebrity Planner Mindy Weiss

PartySlate has closed its seed round with an investment of $1.9 million.  Hyde Park Venture Partners lead the round along with Hyde Park Angels, InvestHER Ventures as well as three Los Angeles-based venture capital firms: Jump Investors, Wavemaker Partners, and Halogen Ventures.  Total funding to date is $3 million.

Secondly, PartySlate announces the launch of PartySlate Dallas.  Dallas officially marks the third market for PartySlate following Chicago and Los Angeles.  "Dallas was a natural choice for our third market roll out," says co-founder Julie Roth Novack.  "There is a really strong event professional community in Dallas and we are excited to feature beautiful Dallas events on PartySlate," added co-founder John Haro.

Lastly, PartySlate is pleased to announce its partnership with Mindy Weiss, one of the most influential celebrity event planners in the country.  Weiss, a Los Angeles-based, full service planner and lifestyle expert will offer her seasoned consultation to grow the PartySlate brand.
