Chicago Student Highlights SnapClips on Shark Tank
CHICAGO, Jan. 24, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Martin Dimitrov, UIC Student and Alumni from Wheeling High School, will be appearing on Shark Tank Sunday, January 28, highlighting his company, SnapClips. The show highlights SnapClips' unique ability to safely hold heavy weights.
The idea of SnapClips was born when Martin was tasked by his high school INCubatoredu entrepreneurship program to find solutions to problems he faced everyday. Martin knew that the metal barbell clips that he used in the gym on a daily basis were difficult to use, often broken and ineffective, resulting in the weights falling off. Martin's idea was to develop weight collars similar to the slap bracelets of the '90s that were more effective and easier to use than the metal barbell clips on the market. This Sunday, January 28, Martin Dimitrov, will be pitching SnapClips on Shark Tank.
"Most important to me is creating a quality product that helps people every day," said Martin Dimitrov. "SnapClips fills a need in the market with an easy to use, aesthetically appealing, affordable product that works."
SnapClips secured a US Utility Patent and is currently being sold in over 15 countries. The product is being used by athletic clubs, school gyms, CrossFit gyms, home gyms, and thousands of athletes around the world.
A viewing party will be held at the UIC student Center East, 750 Halsted Street, Illinois Rooms. Martin will be available for interviews prior to the broadcast between 7:15-7:30 pm as well as after the broadcast. The Broadcast airs at 8 pm CST.
