Chihuly Garden and Glass Presents Pop-up Installation, White Venetians, and Fall Programming
Introducing Chef Demonstrations and Local Favorites Including Yoga Under the Glass
SEATTLE, Sept. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Chihuly Garden and Glass will feature a short-run pop-up installation, White Venetians, and a full line-up of interactive programing this fall. For the first time, the exhibition will showcase Dale Chihuly's White Venetians, as well as introduce new programing, including Chef Demonstrations at Collections Café. All programing is designed to deepen guests' experience and attract new, local audiences to the exhibition.
Currently on view, White Venetians will run through Monday, Nov. 14. Chihuly's Venetian series, which began in 1988 and was inspired by Art Deco Venetian glass. Working with the Italian glass master Lino Tagliapietra, Chihuly initially sought to replicate Venetian glass of the 1920's. The exhibition comes amid the 20th anniversary of Chihuly Over Venice, offering another way to celebrate Chihuly's love for his favorite city.

- Chef Demonstrations at Collections Café:
Collections Café will host a series of chef demonstrations designed to highlight the playful flavors offered in the restaurant's most popular dishes. Located in Collection's vine-draped Arbor, learn the basics of making fresh salt and pepper shrimp and beignet with honey and white chocolate espresso carmel from the Collections Café's chef team. - Tour and Story Time:
Designed for kids three to five years old, participants will tour the exhibition and enjoy short stories that draw inspiration from the creative environment and the program theme: Color. Children are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite color. - Chihuly through the Lens and Yoga Under the Glass:
Chihuly Garden and Glass will also bring back local favorites: Chihuly through the Lens and Yoga Under the Glass. Chihuly through the Lens welcomes photographers of all levels to bring tripods and take advantage of unobstructed views of the installations. Held in the Glasshouse, Yoga Under the Glass offers participants a chance to experience a 60 minute yoga session under one of Dale Chihuly's largest suspended sculptures and enjoy colorful views of the garden.
