China Central Television America Magazine Program FULL FRAME wins EMMY for "Outstanding Feature."

NEW YORK, Sept. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- An inspiring story about a young aerialist and acrobat won a Television Emmy for "Outstanding Features Story in a News Magazine" at the Awards of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in New York Wednesday night.

The 18 minute feature seen on the weekly program FULL FRAME produced by China Central Television America beat out competition from CBS 60 Minutes, NBC Dateline and ESPN.

The FULL FRAME feature profiles Jennifer Bricker, born in Romania without legs. Adopted by an American family in Illinois, Jen grew up believing anything was possible. To Bricker "can't" was a four letter word, never to be uttered.

A power tumbling champion at age 11, Bricker says she "came out of the womb a gymnast." She excelled in many sports - acrobatics, softball, volleyball, and basketball.

Now 27 years-old and living in Los Angeles, Bricker is an accomplished aerialist and acrobat. In 2009, she toured the world as an aerialist with Britney Spears. She has also headlined shows at the Palazzo in Las Vegas, Lincoln Center in New York and the Shangri-La Hotel in Dubai.

The culture, social action, and cause focused magazine show FULL FRAME – produced in Los Angeles and New York - has been available on the CCTV News Channel, Online, and on KCET Television Los Angeles since 2014.

In accepting the award, Producer Sahar Sahar said she was part "of a very small production team, which just as Jen Becker came to believe, they could do anything." Beating out illustrious competition was proof of that.

CCTV America Director Ma Jing said: "The Emmy Award is confirmation of China Central Television America's commitment to quality programming produced in the U-S market."

This was the second Emmy nomination for CCTV America and its first win.
