"By enabling smartphones capable of high-speed Internet access, Broadcom's 3G platforms provide improved access to content and multimedia at a reasonable price point," said Nambi Seshadri, Broadcom Senior Vice President and General Manager, Mobile Platform Solutions. "As more users transition to smartphones, we will continue to invest in advanced mobile technologies and help our ODM and OEM partners develop low-cost, high-performance handsets that the market is demanding."
TCL's J310 is powered by the BCM28145 chipset, which is optimized to support the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system (OS). It includes a 1.2GHz dual Cortex A9 processor with dual vector processing unit (VPU) multimedia engine, a globally proven 21.1/5.8 Mbps HSPA+ modem, and 3G/2G dual-SIM dual-standby capability.
Broadcom's family of 3G and 4G LTE smartphone solutions deliver the features required for all tiers of smartphones, from affordable entry-level devices to high-performance superphones.
