The content of this talk show will follow the latest trends in both the medical and recreational cannabis markets, explore the promising growth of this new emerging industry, and identify select cannabis equities with the greatest potential for capital appreciation. The five-minute talk show is expected to be launched after December 1st, 2016, and it will be available on the company's official Youtube Channel as well as the Phoenix North America Chinese Channel, which is one of the most popular subscriber-only media platforms in the Chinese-speaking communities.
November 8th will be a critical day for the cannabis industry, as five states, including California, will hold referendums on whether or not to legalize recreational marijuana. Four other states, including Florida, will vote whether or not to legalize medical marijuana. According to a report from Cowen & Co, the legal cannabis industry in the U.S. is expected to be worth $50 billion by 2026, expanding to more than eight times its current size, as the legal market will gain new consumers and former illicit users. Legalization of recreational marijuana use in California, where cannabis is already medically permitted, would triple the size of the nation's current $6 billion legal industry.
