CHLI Announces New Board Members Strengthen Its Corporate Advisory Council
CHLI Expands its Corporate Support and Presence
WASHINGTON, May 6 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) is proud to announce four new members of its Board of Directors and an expansion of its Corporate Advisory Council. These additions serve to solidify the support of major corporations to CHLI's important mission and efforts to develop future leaders as our nation continues its preeminent role in the global economy and ensure a productive dialogue with the United States Congress.
The new members of the Board of Directors are Ivette Fernandez of Pfizer, Inc., Susan Gonzalez of Comcast, Vicki Iseman of Carnival Foundation and Orlando Padilla of Padilla Networks, LLC. "I am proud to serve on the CHLI Board and look forward to contributing to the success of the CHLI programs," said Susan Gonzales, Senior Director of External Affairs and Vice President of the Comcast Foundation. "These programs are critical the growth of our future leaders."
CHLI's Board of Directors includes several Members of Congress and representatives from some of the country's largest and most influential corporations. "CHLI's Board of Directors is very fortunate to add these fine corporate leaders to its ranks and will benefit greatly from their expertise and our vital programs will be well served by their dedication and devotion," said Congressman Lincoln Diaz-Balart (FL-21), CHLI Board Chairman.
In addition, CHLI also announces exceptional additions to its Corporate Advisory Council. These include Florida Power and Electric, General Electric Grupo Salinas (Mexico), MillerCoors, Oracle, Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E), Telefonica Internacional USA, and Western Union. This council was created to assist the Board and the staff in introducing new corporate leaders to CHLI programs, assist in fundraising, explore areas of program development, promote partnerships with corporate foundations and advise on opportunities, challenges and trends within the private sector.
