Chortek & Gottschalk CPAs/CFEs Co-Author American Institute of Certified Public Accountants 'Serving as an Expert Witness or Consultant' Practice Aid
MILWAUKEE and CHICAGO, Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Chortek & Gottschalk, a firm of CPAs and Business Advisors, today announced that three of its CPAs/CFEs have co-authored a Practice Aid recently published by The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The more than 90-page Practice Aid for accountants and CPAs is titled, "Serving as an Expert Witness or Consultant."
Dave Friedman, partner in the firm, Paul Rodrigues, principal and Heidi Bucklew, manager, wrote parts of the Practice Aid that will help guide forensic accountants when serving as an expert witness or consultant for litigation matters.
Friedman, Rodrigues and Bucklew are all on the AICPA litigation taskforce. In addition to being CPAs and CFEs, all three have a Certificate in Financial Forensics.

The document covers a variety of forensic accounting areas, including dispute resolution, litigation consulting, bankruptcy support, and fraud and special investigations. Other areas examined in the practice aid include conflicts of interest and the role of the CPA in assisting attorneys.
