Chris Bishop Joins Regent Surgical Health as President
Healthcare veteran to lead operations, strengthen physician and hospital partnerships
WESTCHESTER, Ill., Oct. 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Regent Surgical Health, an industry-leading surgery center management and development company specializing in hospital and physician ambulatory surgery center joint ventures, today announced the hiring of Chris Bishop as the company's new President.
In this role, Bishop will help lead Regent into the next phase of the company's growth, leveraging nearly two decades of healthcare experience to strengthen relationships with physicians and hospitals for new and existing ambulatory surgery center partnerships.
In addition, Bishop will oversee the day-to-day operations of the company, as well as Regent partnerships around the globe. Much of his focus will be on developing and executing marketing strategies that continue the pace of Regent's impressive long-term growth, as well as driving Regent's rapid rollout of new outpatient service lines.

Since 1996, Bishop has worked closely with physicians and other healthcare leaders to develop new business opportunities that are focused on delivering superior outpatient care. Prior to joining Regent, he was a Partner and Senior Vice President at Blue Chip Surgery Center Partners, in Nashville, Tenn. While there, he accelerated firm growth, through de novo and turnaround of underperforming surgery centers, helping lead the organization towards market leadership in spine-based ventures. Additionally, he built a same-store growth team whose track record far exceeded the ASC industry average.

Prior to Blue Chip Surgery Center Partners, Bishop was Vice President, Acquisitions and Business Development, at Ambulatory Surgery Centers of America, following his time in helping create strategic alliances with HealthSouth Corporation. He also developed successful medical device strategies in numerous sales management roles for Smith & Nephew. He is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and contributes frequently to healthcare industry publications.
