WARREN, N.J., Jan. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- As the U.S. economy continues its recovery and with a new year upon us, the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies is asking Americans to dump one potential big regret.
Chubb today launched "Insurance Against Regret,"™ a new nationwide advertising campaign. A series of humorous takes on life's regrettable choices, the campaign presents Chubb as the insurance company you're glad you chose when you or your business experiences a loss. The key message: "I've got some regrets, but insuring with Chubb isn't one of them."
"In life, we make a lot of decisions we later regret," said Paul J. Krump, executive vice president of The Chubb Corporation. "This certainly has been true for many businesses and individuals that mistakenly believed that insurance is a commodity product and routinely purchased the cheapest they could find. The same can be said of others who switched to lower cost insurance during the economic downturn. Fortunately, there's still time to reconsider those decisions before it's too late."
Featuring a 30-second TV commercial that will air on CNBC, ESPN, Golf Channel and Tennis Channel, the campaign is supported by four print ads running on the op-ed pages of The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times and in eight insurance trade publications. In addition, Chubb-appointed agents and brokers will be able to place co-op versions of the ads in local market publications.
The new advertising campaign is consistent with Chubb's past messaging that not all insurance companies treat you the same, especially when it comes to what matters most – paying your claim as fairly, promptly and hassle-free as possible. "This is in direct contrast to those in the industry that sell largely on price. Buying the wrong insurance can seriously affect lives, businesses and personal property in the event of a loss," said Krump.
Krump noted that the new corporate advertising campaign is also directed at individuals and businesses that may have "outgrown their current insurance and are ready to move up to Chubb." It complements Chubb Personal Insurance's current "Move Up to Chubb" advertising program in select markets.
