CIMCON Appoints Mobeen Khan as Chief Operating Officer
IoT and Software Veteran Brings Strategy and Management Experience and Expertise to CIMCON Team
BEDFORD, Mass., April 15, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- CIMCON, the leading global provider of smart city solutions, including outdoor lighting management systems, announced today that it has expanded its leadership team by adding Mobeen Khan as Chief Operating Officer. The appointment is driven by the increased demand from municipalities and utilities for the company's NearSky™ smart city platform and related smart city solutions, including, but not limited to public safety, traffic and pedestrian analytics, air quality monitoring, gunshot/noise detection, and road condition monitoring.
Mobeen brings a wealth of management experience in the mobile services and software industry, including leadership roles where he was responsible for business strategy, product management, business development, operations, and marketing. Most recently he served as General Manager and associate VP for the Internet of Things (IoT) business unit at AT&T where he was responsible for strategy and management of vehicle solutions, asset management and the IoT platform business. Prior to this role, he was the marketing head for AT&T's enterprise mobile solutions business. Before joining AT&T, Mobeen worked in mobile enterprise startups and as a strategy consultant in the telecommunications and e-commerce industries and held progressively senior roles in strategy, technology, and product management.
At CIMCON, Mobeen will formulate future strategic initiatives and oversee the go to market and customer facing functions of the company, including sales, business development, channels, marketing, customer success and support.
