Cincinnati-based auctioneer Susan Johnson receives prestigious CAI Award
CINCINNATI, Aug. 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Benefit auctioneer Susan Johnson, founder of Susan's Auction Service, has earned the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI) designation by completing a rigorous training program through the National Auctioneers Association.
Candidates for the CAI are required to spend one week each year for three years at Indiana University in intense training. Johnson received the CAI pin at the recent NAA Conference & Show in Grand Rapids, Michigan, after completing the requirements earlier in the year.
"The CAI is widely regarded as the gold standard in auctioneer training. Classes stay together throughout the three-year program and develop lifelong friendships. It involved some late nights working on proposals and other projects, but it was well worth it, because it covers the full scope of the auction business. Clients will definitely benefit from my investment in the CAI program," said Johnson. Johnson also holds the Benefit Auction Specialist (BAS) and Certified Estate Specialist (CES) designations though NAA.
Johnson also earned a runner-up spot in the NAA's 2016 National Auctioneers Association Marketing Competition, presented in partnership with USA Today. Johnson's entry in the Non-Traditional Marketing Category was a promotional campaign using personalized direct mail pieces sent with novelties in mailing tubes.
