SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 22, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- For the first time, the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design (CIID) will teach its prestigious and innovative Summer School platform outside of Denmark.
Costa Rica has the privilege to host its courses this year between April 9th-27th. The Summer School is focused on participants from both Latin American and from the rest of the world who are willing to learn about innovation and disruptive thinking.
The platform began in 2007. In Costa Rica, it will offer 15 workshops focused on Design Thinking, Life Sciences, and Digital Technologies. They are taught under the umbrella of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals by The United Nations.
Part of the workshops that will be taught are: Interactive Spaces Design, Machine Learning, Intro to Data Visualization, and Intro to People-Centered Investigation. You can click on this website http://ciid.dk/education/summer-school/ciid-summer-school-costa-rica/workshops/ to review the complete list.
The Summer School platform will be facilitated by more than 25 world-class experts who will give a new learning experience to students, professionals, as well as public and private organizations.
Each workshop will last one week (each participant can be in one, two or three workshops) so the participants will work in a short time, intensively, and will learn new tools and skills to face challenges in the future. They will be part of more than one thousand students that belong to CIID.
The inscriptions are now open in this web page http://ciid.dk/education/summer-school/ciid-summer-school-costa-rica/application-form/ . Each workshop costs $1250 and will be taught in English. The schedule will be from 9 am to 5 pm and each course has a maximum capacity of 20 students.
The Summer School is supported by Mesoamerica Fund, the Investment Promotion Agency (CINDE for its Spanish acronym), the International Design Festival, and the Business Association for Development.
The CIID Summer School platform will take place this year, in Costa Rica, thanks to CINDE's support. This organization promotes the Costa Rican talent through disruptive education.
