CipherCloud Announces Newest Advisory Board Appointments
Appointees extend CipherCloud's cloud security leadership
SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- CipherCloud, the leader in cloud security and visibility, announced the appointments of three top cyber security luminaries to its advisory board. The new appointees will collaborate with other information security experts on the CipherCloud board to advise the company on strategies to advance its market leading portfolio. The new appointees include:
- Howard Schmidt, former White House Cyber Coordinator
- Matthew Green, Assistant Professor at the Johns Hopkins Information Security Institute
- Brian Honan, Director at BH Consulting
They join current board members: Gilles Samoun, CEO, NTR Global and former CEO and Founder, Qualys; Paul Simmonds, co-founder and board member, Jericho Forum and former CISO, AstraZeneca; and Chris Zoladz, CEO, Navigate LLC and former VP of Information Protection & Privacy, Marriott International.

Bush and Barack Obama, Howard Schmidt is a partner at Ridge-Schmidt Cyber LLC, where he guides enterprise and government leaders on cyber security strategy. Schmidt also serves as executive director of The Software Assurance Forum for Excellence in Code (SAFECode). His expertise in the area of government policies will provide valuable advice to the board on how developing regulations impact the cloud and security industries.
Matthew Green holds the position of Assistant Professor at the Johns Hopkins Information Security Institute, where he teaches practical cryptography. He helped create Zerocoin, an extension that builds anonymity for use with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency transactions. Green also co-founded and serves on the Open Crypto Audit Project (OCAP) board. He brings cutting edge security and cryptographic research insight to help CipherCloud shape its technology innovation and roadmap.
Brian Honan is an internationally renowned expert in the cyber and information security spaces. He has advised numerous private sector companies and government departments and entities, such as the European Commission, on IT security strategy. Honan is a leading expert in consumer privacy and enterprise security issues. He is a champion of innovative technologies that address these pressing concerns.
