City Lights Brewing to Light up the Night
Inaugural Lighting Ceremony Thursday at 5PM
MILWAUKEE, Feb. 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Corey Zetts, Executive Director of Menomonee Valley Partners will flip the ceremonial first switch for the City Lights Brewing Company sign, recently installed high atop the "Tower Building." The lighting ceremony will be Thursday, February 16th at 5PM.
City Lights Brewing Company President Robin Gohsman said, "I couldn't be happier that Corey has accepted our invitation and will be here to 'light the lights.' The "old school" sign will be erected high atop the 5 story, octagonal "Tower Building" on the City Lights campus. The letters for "City Lights" will be 3 feet, 9 inches tall, illuminated with white LED bulbs. The sign was manufactured and installed by Poblocki Sign Company. The sign is visible to the occupants of the 250,000 cars passing by each day on I-94.
About City Lights Brewing Company
In 1902, noted architect Alexander Eschweiler designed five buildings for The Milwaukee Gas Company to house the Company's operations to convert coal to gas to light the city lights of Milwaukee. In 2017, City Lights Brewing Company began operations in two of these iconic buildings located in Milwaukee's resurgent Menomonee River Valley. The operations include a state-of-the-art 30 barrel Brewhouse, canning line, logistics center, tasting room and beer garden.
