City Sports Opens in Downtown Silver Spring

SILVER SPRING, Md., Nov. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- City Sports today announced that its 21st store is now open in Silver Spring, Md., joining the bustling downtown shopping district as its newest retail resident.  The store is located at 8510 Fenton Street in Downtown Silver Spring.

City Sports will celebrate the opening of the Silver Spring location with a free community party on December 3rd, gifting over $1,000 in product giveaways to holiday shoppers.

The highly anticipated Silver Spring shop marks City Sports' second store in the metro DC area to open in the past year, as the retailer nears the first anniversary of opening its flagship store in Georgetown. The store moves into the retail space vacated by Pier 1 Imports earlier this year.

One of the key features of the Silver Spring store is City Sports' signature women's concept, a specially curated experience designed specifically for its female customer that the brand first introduced this past summer. City Sports' Silver Spring opening party will take place on Saturday, December 3rd from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is open to all patrons.
