CKO Kickboxing Jersey City Opens New Gym Power House Arts District

JERSEY CITY, N.J., Feb. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- CKO Kickboxing, one of the fastest growing health and fitness franchises, opened a new cardio kickboxing gym in the Power House Arts District of downtown Jersey City at 150 Bay Street on February 16, 2013. The high intensity, top quality, cross training gym provides a family friendly, community setting to downtown Jersey City residents who are looking for an alternative to their current gym membership, Pilates, yoga, cross training martial arts and spinning classes.

Hooked after one class, he quickly signed up for a one-year membership.

"I've been a member of CKO since 2005. I was overweight and out of shape. The workouts were great, and I was addicted going 4-5 days a week, the classes were a huge stress reliever, confidence builder, and I lost over 30 pounds in time for my wedding; it's amazing," said Mr. DiMare.

In 2010 Joe decided to get trained and started instructing classes in Hoboken and that's when it hit him. "It's a great feeling when someone comes up to you and says 'Great class' and you see their whole attitude on life has changed in the past three months. Their smile's bigger and brighter, they have more energy, and they've lost 10-15 pounds. It can change your life," he said.

Mr. DiMare decided to invest in a CKO Kickboxing franchise because he believed that through CKO he could make a positive impact on the health of the Jersey City community.

During the Grand Opening Celebration, all registration fees will be dropped for a savings of $100. Prospective members can take a free class as well.
