Clayton Holdings Names Rick E. Smith New Senior Managing Director of Business Development for Quantum Special Servicing

SHELTON, Conn., May 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Clayton Holdings LLC, a leader in providing customized risk analysis, loss mitigation, operational solutions and staffing services to the mortgage and fixed-income industries, announced today that Rick E. Smith has joined the company as senior managing director in business development focusing on Clayton's Quantum residential and commercial special servicing business.

In this role, Mr. Smith will be responsible for managing client business development and strategy for Quantum Servicing. He will be integral in identifying the needs of existing and potential customers and marketing the appropriate services to meet those needs. Based in the Quantum Servicing offices in Tampa, Fla., Mr. Smith will report directly to Tom Donatacci, executive vice president of business development.

Mr. Smith joins Clayton with more than 30 years of experience in loan administration management and special servicing. Most recently, he was president and chief executive officer at Marix Servicing, Phoenix, Ariz., where he was responsible for business development and start up operations. Prior to that, he held executive positions at Mortgage Lenders Network US, Inc., Key Bank Corporation and Chase Manhattan Mortgage, among others.
