Clean Named Agency Of Record For North Carolina Zoo And Aquariums

RALEIGH, N.C., March 22, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Clean, an award-winning integrated branding agency, today announced it has been selected by the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources as agency of record for the North Carolina Zoological Park (North Carolina Zoo) and the four North Carolina Aquariums. Established in 1974, the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro is the largest "natural habitat" zoo in the United States, constructed to mimic the natural habitats in which its inhabitants would live in the wild. Visitors can discover more than 1,600 animals and 52,000 plants as they stroll along five miles of shaded pathways within the zoo. 2017 brought a yearly attendance record with more than 860,000 visitors.  

With four locations along the coast, the popular North Carolina Aquariums, established in 1976, help promote awareness, understanding, and conservation of North Carolina's ocean, lakes, and rivers:

• Aquarium at Fort Fisher in Kure Beach (near Wilmington)
• Aquarium in Pine Knoll Shores (Crystal Coast)
• Aquarium at Roanoke Island in Manteo (Outer Banks)
• Jennette's Pier in Nags Head (Outer Banks)
