ClearPower Receives PEOT Authorization for Hydropower Development in Peru's Tinajones System

Company's $35 million investment will generate up to 184 GWh of renewable energy annually and support the regional economy

MIAMI, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- ClearPower Global has been selected by the Olmos Tinajones Special Project (PEOT) to generate renewable hydropower from Peru's Tinajones water system. The company plans to produce approximately 20 MW of hydropower, resulting in up to 184 GWh of initial generating capacity annually. ClearPower's project investment of $35 million will create jobs and opportunities for local businesses as well.

PEOT's system carries water to farms and communities. ClearPower will place its modular turbines within that system, capturing energy at suitable elevation drops while preserving PEOT's essential infrastructure and water-delivery role. PEOT's authorization also includes a 30-year concession agreement after which the infrastructure will revert to PEOT.

How ClearPower's Technology Works

ClearPower's compact, modernized turbines fit into existing gravity-fed and pressurized infrastructure to generate reliable, low-impact renewable energy. At the Tinajones water system in Peru, ClearPower plans to configure the initial sites to generate up to 20 MW of hydropower, with further opportunities identified by PEOT for significant expansion where conditions support that scale.

During its 30-year concession with PEOT, ClearPower will provide the operator with 1.5 million PEN (over 444,000 USD), or more, per year from the hydropower generated. ClearPower will also fully assume operation, maintenance and other project needs.
