ClimatBloc Introduces Its Insulated, Recycled-Composite Wall System to Green Building Leaders at Greenbuild 2026
U.S.-made interlocking block system draws interest from architects, developers and sustainability professionals at the world's largest green building event
NEW YORK, Oct. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- ClimatBloc, a developer of lightweight, durable building systems, exhibited at the Greenbuild International Conference + Expo, held Oct. 20–23 at the Javits Center in New York City. Chief Executive Officer Jeremy Flynn and Director of Operations Alexis Baker represented the company, introducing ClimatBloc's insulated composite wall system to architects, developers, contractors and sustainability professionals from across the country.
Greenbuild, presented in partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), is the largest annual event for green building professionals. This year's theme, Invest for Impact, focused on financing new projects and retrofitting existing buildings, conversations that line up closely with ClimatBloc's goal of making construction faster, more efficient and less wasteful.
ClimatBloc is an engineered composite block system made from recycled materials and manufactured in the United States. Insulation can be built into each block to suit the local climate, and the interlocking foundation blocks weigh less than 9 pounds each when fully insulated. Walls and foundations can go up without concrete trucks, pump trucks or days of waiting for concrete to cure, which makes the system a practical alternative to traditional concrete masonry units (CMUs) for exterior and foundation walls.
The system is also built to survive. ClimatBloc structures are rated for winds up to 280 mph, carry a V-0 fire rating and meet Class D seismic specifications. The insulated wall envelope ranges from R-19 to R-84, and because the blocks interlock and are post-tensioned, a ClimatBloc building can go up in days rather than months, with far less skilled labor than traditional construction.
"Most people don't believe a wall system can be this light until they pick up a block," said Jeremy Flynn, Chief Executive Officer of ClimatBloc. "At Greenbuild, we put the blocks in their hands and showed how a home can go up in days without concrete trucks or a specialized crew. We're looking forward to following up with the builders and developers we met."
The show follows recent international outreach by the company, including visits with builders and government leaders in Kenya and residential developers in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. ClimatBloc plans to follow up with the contacts it made at Greenbuild as it grows its presence in the U.S. residential and commercial markets.
