Clint Miller joins the leadership of Avison Young's enterprise solutions and tenant representation practices

Highly respected real estate professional becomes a Principal of the firm

TORONTO, Sept. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ - Keith Lipton, Avison Young Principal and COO, U.S. Operations, announced today the strategic hiring of highly regarded real estate professional Clint Miller.

Effective immediately, Miller becomes a Principal of Avison Young and joins the leadership of the firm's enterprise solutions and tenant representation practices. Based in the company's Minneapolis office, he will collaborate with Avison Young's senior leadership team, supporting the strategic growth and expansion of the firm. He brings 38 years of commercial real estate experience to Avison Young, most recently as Executive Managing Director, Portfolio Solutions for Cushman & Wakefield (C&W).

Miller will work closely with Lipton and Brian Bellew, Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of Enterprise Solutions, developing enterprise solutions and tenant representation specialists while concentrating on services to occupiers. In addition, he will contribute to the development of resources that support and enhance Avison Young's broader corporate strategy.

Miller joined C&W in 2002, when he co-founded Northstar Partners in Minneapolis as a member of C&W's Alliance Program. Northstar Partners quickly rose to prominence in the Twin Cities market, employing more than 100 professionals engaged in all lines of investment and corporate real estate services. In 2007, C&W acquired Northstar Partners and appointed Miller Managing Director of the Minnesota operation, and a member of the Alliance program leadership team.  Prior to co-founding and managing Northstar, Miller served as Managing Director for Grubb & Ellis upon the firm's entry into Minnesota, where he was responsible for developing and managing brokerage operations. He has also held leadership positions with The Shelard Group and United Properties.

Before entering the commercial real estate industry, Miller was a sales executive with Xerox Corporation. He is a veteran of military service in the U.S. Navy and completed two tours of duty in the Eastern Mediterranean aboard the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy (CVA-67).

In 2010, he received NAIOP's President's Award in recognition of his 30 years of leadership and positive influence as a catalyst and promoter of economic and professional growth across the commercial real estate industry. In the community, he has volunteered with the University of Minnesota Children's Cancer Research Fund as a director, and with the mission team at the Roblealto Child Care Association in San Jose, Costa Rica. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Minnesota, Duluth.
