Cloud Services Provider Day1 Solutions Acquires Big Data Consultancy OpenOsmium

MCLEAN, Va., May 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Day1 Solutions, the cloud services and solutions expert, has acquired Herndon, VA-based OpenOsmium, the company's third acquisition in eight months. OpenOsmium provides leading edge advisory services and solutions for data analytics and enterprise search leveraging Big Data and Cloud technologies. The company's customers include Federal civilian agencies and the large systems integrators who serve them, along with enterprise customers spanning the hospitality, healthcare, telecommunications, financial services and manufacturing sectors.  OpenOsmium CEO Sadayappan "Chida" Chidambaram and his team will join the Solutions and Engineering team at Day1 Solutions, with Mr. Chidambaram appointed Chief Technology Officer for Big Data and Analytics.
