Club Studio to Host Nationwide Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Day in Support of Wings for Life
Nationwide event recognizes the collective efforts of the Club Studio community and supporting spinal cord injury research
IRVINE, Calif., Sept. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Club Studio today announced its locations nationwide will host Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Day on Saturday, September 26, in recognition of Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month and to celebrate the extraordinary impact of gym members and staff who supported the May 2026 Wings for Life World Run.
For millions of people living with spinal cord injury, everyday movements like walking, running, or exercising can become impossible. Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Day aims to highlight that reality while celebrating the people helping drive progress toward a cure.
The national event builds Fitness International's multi-year partnership with Wings for Life USA, a spinal cord research foundation with a single mission: to find a cure for spinal cord injury. Club Studio locations will come together to recognize and celebrate the collective efforts of the Fitness International community while raising awareness for the mission of Wings for Life and the progress being made in spinal cord injury research.

Fitness International played a significant role in the success of the 2026 Wings for Life World Run, bringing together more than 13,900 participants and accounting for 36% of all U.S. registrations. Through their participation, Club Studio, LA Fitness, and City Sports Club members helped accelerate research aimed at restoring function and improving quality of life for people living with spinal cord injury. Globally, the event united 346,527 runners and wheelchair athletes across 192 nations, raising approximately $10.8 million, with 100% of donations directed toward spinal cord injury research.
On September 26, Club Studio locations nationwide will come together to recognize the incredible efforts of members and team members who helped make that impact possible. The day will feature community celebrations designed to thank participants and create an engaging atmosphere throughout each club.
