Cobra received the Silver IDEA award in the highly competitive "Communication Tools" category, which included entrants from some of the world's largest and most design-forward companies in areas such as telephones, VoIP phones, cell phones, smartphones, PDAs, navigation devices, headsets, accessories, and more.  The IDEA 2011 judging was based on a diverse set of industrial design excellence criteria, including innovation, benefit to the user, social responsibility, client benefit, visual appeal, design aesthetic, and more.
