Cohen & Grigsby Appoints Of Counsel in Firm's Intellectual Property Group

PITTSBURGH, July 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Cohen & Grigsby, P.C., a business law firm with headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA and an office in Naples, FL, is pleased to announce the appointment Jacob H. Rooksby as Of Counsel in the Intellectual Property Group located in the firm's Pittsburgh office.

As a member of the Intellectual Property Group, Rooksby will counsel clients on identifying, procuring, commercializing, and enforcing patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and other intellectual property rights in both the United States and internationally.

Rooskby is an assistant professor at the Duquesne University School of Law where he teaches courses on intellectual property law, torts, social media and the law, technology innovation law and higher education and the law.  He previously worked at McGuireWoods LLP in Richmand, Va., as an associate where he focused his practice on general commercial litigation with an emphasis on intellectual property disputes. Rooksby is vice president of the Pittsburgh Intellectual Property Law Association and a member of the Q. Todd Dickinson Intellectual Property American Inn of Court and the Duquesne University faculty senate.  He has been published in a variety of outlets, including the Yale Journal of Law & Technology, Harvard Journal of Law & Technology and Chronicle of Higher Education.
