NEW YORK, Sept. 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- College fashionista, a Clique Media Group–owned global community and platform for collegiate Style Gurus to share their passion for the latest styles and happenings on campus, announced its Fellowship Program, a new digital educational platform first available to students for the fall 2017 semester. The program seeks to reinvent the digital education model and gives students the opportunity to specialize their education path with over 20 semester-long programs in coding, marketing, public relations, social media, editorial, graphic design, and more.
Courses on the platform are taught by industry experts from Clique, WGSN, Kelia and Luca, and more, and are free for college fashionista's 4700+ Style Gurus to participate. During these interactive classes, students will receive feedback on all assignments and share in open brainstorm forums to collaborate with their peers. Fellows will also gain hands-on experience, acting as content creators for college fashionista's editorial and social channels, and will leave the semester with an expansive digital portfolio.
To celebrate this new program, college fashionista has redesigned its overall brand aesthetic with an updated website and logo and a partnership with fashion photographer Tory Rust to create a video that highlights Style Gurus' passion for the brand. The video highlights the journey of real Style Gurus who met online and connected in real life. This unique bond is what founder Amy Levin credits with fueling the college fashionista brand to innovate.
"As technology and education continue to evolve, so does college fashionista. Our strong community of Style Gurus is made up of career-driven students who are committed to learning new skills and crave hands-on experience," says Amy Levin, founder and creative partnerships director. "Our Fellowship Program not only gives young women and men access to a formal education, but it provides an alternative path for students who are looking for hands-on experience outside of the classroom."
In the last year alone, college fashionista's community of Style Gurus has grown by 53% with its collective social power reaching over 6.2 million.
