Colo5 Named Second Fastest Growing Privately Held Company In Jacksonville By The Jacksonville Business Journal's Business Journal 50 Awards
Ranked by Revenue Increase Percentage
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., July 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Colo5, LLC, a leading independent data center operator headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, was named the second fastest growing privately held company in Jacksonville by the Jacksonville Business Journal's Business Journal 50 awards.
Serving close to 100 clients, Colo5 has experienced an average annual revenue growth of 312.84% over the past three years. "Our model all along, from the very beginning, has been that customer service was going to be No. 1," said Rochelle Price, Chief Operating Officer of Colo5.
Colo5's success has stemmed from the outlook that their customers are partners, not just clients or bill payers. With nearly a 100 percent client retention rate, only businesses that have gone out of business have ever left the Jacksonville colocation facility.
With a passion for business and held promise to provide excellent customer service and company flexibility, Doug Recker, Chief Executive Officer of Colo5, has led his team and company to immense success.
Based on the achievements of Colo5's first facility, which is built to withstand a Category 5 Hurricane, Colo5 will be opening a new data center in another Florida market in the near future. Expecting to keep growth at the same rate, Recker states, "I don't see us slowing down at least for another 36 months, the way we're tracking."
The nomination process for the Jacksonville Business Journal's Fastest Growing Private Companies list started March 30 and closed May 18. During that time locally owned, locally headquartered businesses in Baker, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Nassau, Putnam and St. Johns counties were invited to submit financial information to Ennis, Pellum & Associates CPAs by fax or an online form that went to a special email address at Ennis, Pellum.
Companies reported the amount of their annual revenue for 2009, 2010, and 2011 to Ennis, Pellum. All financial information was confidential and none was shared with The Business Journal without the company's permission. Based on the information provided by the companies, Ennis, Pellum requested a confirmation of the revenue from a third-party, for instance an accountant or tax returns, for those companies that looked like they could make the list. The ranking criteria – percentage of increase – was based on the average annual growth from 2009 to 2011.
