Colorado Community Health Alliance named Medicaid Regional Accountable Entity in 8 counties

DENVER, Dec. 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing has named Colorado Community Health Alliance (CCHA) as the Regional Accountable Entity (RAE) for Health First Colorado (Colorado's Medicaid Program) in both Region 6 (Boulder, Broomfield, Clear Creek, Gilpin and Jefferson counties), and Region 7 (El Paso, Park and Teller counties). The announcement comes as Colorado prepares to implement the next phase of its Accountable Care Collaborative (ACC) Program, a groundbreaking effort, beginning July of 2018, aimed at changing the way care is delivered to approximately 320,000 Health First Colorado members.

As a RAE, CCHA will integrate physical and behavioral health services under one entity, providing a more seamless and accessible health system to members in eight counties. The CCHA model will strengthen service coordination throughout the health neighborhood, promote member choice and engagement, and ensure accountability and transparency to the Colorado system.
