AUSTIN, Texas and DENVER, June 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Aurigo Software is pleased to announce that Aurigo Masterworks, the world's leading cloud-based capital program and project management software solution has been selected by Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) to manage its program, project, and cash management processes.
Aurigo Masterworks has been in the news a lot lately after being chosen by large capital owners including Utah Department of Transportation, Ministry of Transportation, Ontario, Port of Portland, TransCanada, and a host of others to plan and deliver hundreds of billions of dollars' worth of capital programs including highways, roads, bridges, pipelines, refineries, and capital infrastructure.
At CDOT, Aurigo will help ensure the success of Colorado DOT's Responsible Acceleration of Maintenance and Partnerships (RAMP) initiative. Under the RAMP program, CDOT will fund multiyear projects based on year of expenditure rather than saving for the full amount of a project before construction begins. Ultimately, Aurigo Masterworks will enable Colorado, America's eighth largest state, to more efficiently manage and maintain 23,000 total lane miles of highway; 760 geo hazard sites; 35 mountain underpasses; 3,447 bridges, and snow and ice operations such as plowing and monitoring of avalanche paths. With a growing population and declining revenues, Colorado DOT searched for a project management solution that could easily integrate with the department's existing programs Microsoft Office, SAP, Bentley ProjectWise, ESRI GIS, and AASHTOWare.
After vetting solutions from Oracle Unifier, EcoSys, and several others, the department felt the solution that demonstrated the best value to the state was Aurigo Masterworks.
"State DOTs across the United States are upgrading their capital infrastructure and looking for better tools and technologies to help deliver these projects on increasingly tighter budgets. Aurigo is at the forefront of this enablement. We are excited to partner with Colorado Department of Transportation to increase the efficiency of its capital programs," says Balaji Sreenivasan, CEO of Aurigo Software Inc.
Aurigo Software is rapidly becoming the preferred solution provider within the public sector transportation industry in both US and Canada who are experiencing large savings using Aurigo.
