Columbia Consulting Group Completes Search for Oakwood Federal Directors

COLUMBIA, Md., Dec. 8, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Columbia Consulting Group (CCG) completed their search for Oakwood Worldwide, which announced the appointment of Michael Thompson and Fred Woodward as Account Directors with their Federal team. The two positions represent an expansion of Oakwood's sales force, which provides temporary housing services to the U.S. Military, federal agencies, and government contractors.

"Michael Thompson has the same consultative and solution focused approach as Oakwood," said Randy Francis, Oakwood's Federal Manager. "I know he will be instrumental in developing strategic temporary lodging solutions for our government contractor customers."

Before joining Oakwood, Michael Thompson was an Account Manager at ANSYS, Inc., where he achieved 103% of target revenue and worked with clients including Army Research Labs, General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, and NSA. Prior positions include sales roles with Avatech Solutions, GlobalSpec, Sealed Air Corporation, and Arrow Electronics.

Before his hire, Fred Woodward was a Federal Sales Manager at A. Pomerantz & Co., where he led $3.3 million in bids for projects with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Prior to that, he was a co-founder of Diversified Solutions Group, and for more than 29 years served in various roles at Westinghouse/Knoll Inc., where he consistently grew government sales for his region.
