Combined Insurance Announces Partnership with Veteran Charity -- The Jason McKie Foundation

Combined Insurance, named by G.I. Jobs magazine as the number one Military Friendly® Employer in the country for the past two years, announced the partnership during a special ceremony this week at its headquarters in Glenview, Ill. At the ceremony, representatives from Combined Insurance presented a check for $5,000 to former pro football player Jason McKie for his veteran-focused foundation.

"At Combined Insurance, it is important for us to give back to organizations that support our nation's military veterans—in both time and resources," said Joseph Pennington, National Military Programs Manager at Combined Insurance. "We are honored to partner with the Jason McKie Foundation, which has gone above and beyond to help veterans by establishing scholarships for military dependents, providing emergency assistance for individual families to pay their medical and financial bills, and much more."

Through this partnership, Combined Insurance will be recognized as the number one sponsor for fundraising events that the Jason McKie Foundation hosts throughout 2016, including the Muller Acura Auto Show and Truck  Pull in Merrillville, Ind. on May 14. All proceeds from Combined Insurance's annual golf tournament, taking place August 25 at Chevy Chase Country Club in Wheeling, Ill., will also be donated to the Jason McKie Foundation.

McKie witnessed firsthand the sacrifices of our servicemen and women, growing up with a father who served in the Air Force for more than 20 years. Following his successful pro football career, McKie wanted to help veterans who were in need and launched the Jason McKie Foundation in 2008.
