comiXology Names Former HBO GO Executive DiBartolomeo To Top Technology Post

NEW YORK, Sept. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- On the cusp of surpassing 200 million comic and graphic novel downloads, comiXology has named Jeff DiBartolomeo its Chief Technology Officer (CTO). DiBartolomeo previously served in senior technology roles for HBO's HBO GO® and Volume.com units.  As comiXology's CTO, DiBartolomeo oversees digital innovation and data management and delivery for the leading global cloud-based digital comics platform.

Before joining comiXology, DiBartolomeo spent more than a decade at HBO where, as SVP of Consumer Technology, he was one of the three founders of the industry-leading HBO GO service and led the technology team responsible for building and operating the service, along with HBO's other multiplatform services: MAX GO, HBO.com, and Cinemax.com.  Prior to joining HBO, Jeff was CTO of the urban Internet portal Volume.com, a wholly owned subsidiary of HBO.  Jeff began his career at Time Inc.'s Pathfinder before moving into the interactive agency space working for Agency.com, among others.
