Community Tissue Services is FiftyLives.org
Organization Announces it's the Name Behind New National Movement Campaign
DAYTON, Ohio, April 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Community Tissue Services announces today that it is the name behind the FiftyLives.org movement. Launched earlier this morning, FiftyLives.org is a new web site and proactive global movement dedicated to sharing stories and information about the impact of tissue donation on lives around the world.
The introductory phase of the FiftyLives.org campaign began three weeks ago in Dayton, Ohio, the home of Community Tissue Services' corporate headquarters, with billboards featuring tissue recipients and messaging on radio stations talking about how one tissue donor can impact the lives of 50 people. What local audiences didn't know, however, is that Community Tissue Services was the name behind this new extraordinary global movement. "The impact that our organization has on patients around the world is remarkable," said Dr. David Smith, CEO of Community Tissue Services. "FiftyLives.org is a new nationwide platform telling the powerful stories of tissue recipients and donors, and making those important stories and facts available to the world. The amazing reality is that one tissue donor truly does impact the lives of 50 people, and as a technological and compassionate leader in this industry we also want to be a leader in sharing information about the extraordinary gift of tissue donation."
Coupled with the new web site, FiftyLives also has a Facebook and Twitter presence to fully capture the opportunities that social media bring to a mega awareness movement such as tissue donation. "Our work spans the globe and together, with the precious gifts from our tissue donors and their families, we will continue to make a profound impact on millions of lives, young and old alike, across the world," said Dr. Smith. "This movement is the first step in asking the world to join us, share their stories and consider tissue donation as an opportunity to leave a lifelong legacy."
As a leader in saving, enhancing and transforming lives, Community Tissue Services encourages the nation to join the launch of its movement by visiting www.FiftyLives.org and follow us on Facebook and Twitter. For information on Community Tissue Services, visit www.communitytissue.org.
