TAMPA, Fla., Oct. 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Comprehensive Care Corporation (CompCare) (OTC BB: CHCR), which provides behavioral health, substance abuse and psychotropic pharmacy management services for managed care companies throughout the U.S., today announced that Clark A. Marcus, CompCare's Chairman and CEO, has been interviewed by veteran analyst Francis Gaskins on the Company's business strategies and accomplishments.
The entire interview is available at: http://gaskinsco.com/chcr-9-26.mp3 .
In the interview, Mr. Marcus said CompCare is focused on "wellness," with emphasis on bringing down the excessive cost of medicine and reducing the use of certain prescription drugs for its clients. "We are also focused on introducing higher margin (20 – 30 percent) ancillary products and attracting business in the commercial sector," Mr. Marcus said.
"We have increased the number of states served by CompCare from 11 to 42, added $55 million in new business going forward, and increased the number of patients under contract from 800,000 to approximately one million," Mr. Marcus said. He stressed that the current 140 employees have the ability now to handle double the business and said he believes some of the "giants" in the health care industry will begin soon to outsource behavioral health.
Mr. Marcus explained in the interview that CompCare is aligned with approximately 35,000 specialists in the behavioral health sector who can assist patients. He said one special interest of the Company is to reduce the amount of depression by reducing back problems, a medical condition that is believed to cause a significant number of psychological problems. "We are working to change the face of health care," Mr. Marcus said.
The interview also features Mr. Marcus discussing his background as a successful entrepreneur, information about the management team and Board and his partners who, Mr. Marcus said, have already invested millions of dollars in CompCare to move its program forward.
