Over the past two decades, ComRent has introduced an evolution of load bank solutions and a myriad of customer services. In 1998, ComRent debuted its first load banks for generator testing. In 2003, ComRent added resistive/reactive Crestchic and 922 medium voltage load banks to expand into solar, wind and utility substation testing. ComRent was the first to offer the market direct connect medium voltage reactive load bank in 2005. In 2007, ComRent expanded into the data center commissioning market by providing the first rack mounted load bank. ComRent's fleet and reach have grown. In 2007, ComRent expanded its sales presence to Canada. In the past five years alone, ComRent has completed 80,000 tests successfully, providing an electrical load to test more than 75 GW of power systems worldwide.
