Con-way Truckload Extends Commitment to Hire Veterans with Hiring Our Heroes and FASTPORT
Partnership will help transitioning veterans learn about the great career opportunities in the trucking industry and find fulfilling careers
JOPLIN, Mo., Nov. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Con-way Truckload, a full truckload carrier and subsidiary of Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW), today announced a partnership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation's Hiring Our Heroes program and its trucking industry technology partner, FASTPORT, to increase its number of veteran hires throughout 2015.

Today, approximately 16 percent of Con-way Truckload's employees are military service veterans, including members of the National Guard and Reserve, holding a variety of professional roles throughout the company.

The Trucking Industry Track of Hiring Our Heroes assists veterans, transitioning service members and their spouses in finding careers in the trucking industry. It was established to address the industry's need for skills developed from all military backgrounds to fill over 100,000 open positions.
