Concentra Gains Footprint in Lexington with UTC Acquisition

ADDISON, Texas, Sept. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Concentra, a subsidiary of Humana Inc., announced today it has expanded its footprint in Kentucky with the acquisition of Urgent Treatment Clinics (UTC) in Lexington, which includes seven centers in the area.

While still preserving the Urgent Treatment Clinics name, this transaction represents a new market for Concentra, with seven new medical centers locations in Lexington and surrounding communities. The majority of UTC's medical support staff, non-medical personnel, and physicians, including UTC's former owners, Dr. Fadi Bacha and Dr. Larry Burns, have been retained by Concentra, building on the long-standing relationships that they have developed in the Lexington market. Financial details of the acquisition were not released.
