ASPEN, Colo., May 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- New York-based luxury real estate auction firm Concierge Auctions is pleased to announce the sale of the Northstar estate, a luxury chalet located at 1581 Wood Road in Snowmass, Colorado. The 1.15-acre property, perched on a mountainside overlooking the slopes, closed for $5.61 million. The auction was held in cooperation with Doug Leibinger and Stefan Peirson of Aspen Snowmass Sotheby's International Realty. The auction attracted buyers globally, and the winning bidder came from Texas.
"The Aspen/Snowmass area is one of the most highly sought-after real estate destinations in the world representing the utmost luxury, so it came to no surprise the success of this auction," said Leibinger. "Partnering with Concierge Auctions was key to securing qualified bidders for this unique property. They are a great group of talented professionals who understand this niche market and accomplished the goals that we had set forth."
Concierge Auctions' marketing campaign drew over 4,000 website visits from 41 US states (led by Colorado, Texas, California and Florida) and 49 international countries (led by Canada, the UK, France and Mexico), identified 149 buyer prospects and generated 30 qualified showings.
Offering an impressive 6,291 square feet, the five-bedroom, six-bathroom Northstar estate offers awe-inspiring mountain views and two floors of above-grade living with an open floor plan. Located just 150 yards from primary ski mecca Adam's Avenue and 100 feet from the Guggenheim Trail, the recently remodeled mountainside home also includes a wood-burning stone fireplace, media room with a wet bar, a mud room and an elevator. Outdoors, more than one acre of mature landscaping and trees effortlessly create a unique sense of privacy. Window walls open to 1,640 square feet of outdoor living decks in addition to an outdoor hot tub and a two-car garage.
"Our expertise in auctioning premier properties throughout the Rocky Mountains, particularly at price points above $10 million, is unrivaled," said Mike Russo, vice president of business development for Concierge Auctions. "Our global database allows us to hone in on high-end buyers who are actively interested in finding and buying the country's most exclusive ski homes. In an exclusive area like Aspen, where a few dozen luxury homes linger on the market, our process proves itself to not only be effective, but also timely. We achieve in a few months what normally takes a few years."
Concierge Auctions has had repeated success in the Aspen area. Last year, the company closed on the 600-acre Peace Ranch, a sprawling estate with five residences and a 35,000-square-foot riding arena that sold for $17.15 million. The firm will return to Aspen this summer on July 16th with its newest offering: a 7,250-square-foot-plus mountain estate that took its current owner nearly four years to complete. Details to be released soon.
Additional properties are also being considered for inclusion in the July 16th auction. If you or someone you know is interested in selling an Aspen property through Concierge Auctions, call 212.257.5018. Spaces are limited.
