"Both Byron and Amy have played key leadership roles for many important agency accounts over the past few years, receiving numerous client recognitions in the process," says Bill Fleishman, Cone's president. "They deliver outstanding strategic thinking along with the same brand of spirit, passion and enthusiasm that makes them favorites here at Cone. These are much-deserved promotions."
Originally a director in Cone's Brand Marketing discipline, Byron Calamese transitioned to the agency's business development group in January 2010. During his time in account service, Byron worked with such clients as Timberland, General Mills, Walt Disney Co., Nestle Waters and Zone Diet on marketing public relations initiatives. This is his second tenure with Cone; he re-joined the agency in 2008 from the Adidas Group where he served as head of public relations and corporate communications for The Rockport Company. Byron received a BA in journalism from Northeastern University and an MA in integrated marketing communications from Emerson College.
With Cone since 2007, Amy Russ has applied her diverse client and agency-side background to major accounts, such as Jockey International, L'Oreal, Nestle Waters, Deloitte, the American Cancer Society, Darden Restaurants and Betty Crocker. She has played a pivotal role in developing integrated marketing communications strategies and signature cause branding platforms. Prior to Cone, Amy was an assistant vice president of public relations for BJ's Wholesale Club. Amy graduated from the University of Richmond with a bachelor's degree in French and speech communications.
