Congressional Medal Of Honor Foundation Names Chief Operating Officer

ARLINGTON, Va., Feb. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation has appointed Mike Caldwell as its Chief Operating Officer.

Caldwell is a retired colonel, having served 24-years in the U.S. Air Force.

Caldwell is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Foundation to include managing the staff, overseeing growth initiatives, leading event planning and management, creating and managing the Foundation's annual budget and leading the Foundation's strategic communications efforts. He will also work directly with the CEO in formulating the Foundation's vision and strategy, strengthening relationships with the Foundation's board and partners, and developing sources to ensure the Foundation meets financial requirements.

Caldwell has more than 30 years of experience as a senior communications strategist with the Air Force and Booz Allen Hamilton. As deputy director and acting director of Public Affairs for the U.S. Air Force, Caldwell was part of the team that led the communication strategy for the change in policy that allows media to cover the return of America's fallen from war zones.

Caldwell received a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism from Troy University in Troy, Ala., and a Master of Arts in Media Communications from Governors State University in University Park, Ill.
