Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen to Be Honored With Public Service Award at the Third Annual Embassy Celebration Dinner Series
WASHINGTON, Nov. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GWHCC) and Events DC will host their third annual Embassy Celebration Dinner Series on Tuesday, November 29th at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. This year, the Chamber will honor Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Chair of the United States House of Representatives' Committee on Foreign Affairs with the GWHCC Public Service Award. Mrs. Jane Lee Garcia, wife of former Congressman Bob Garcia, will be the Dinner Chair for the third consecutive year.
Each year the Chamber gives this award to leaders making a difference in international trade and commercial affairs affecting the Western Hemisphere. Previous awardees include Congressman Eliot Engel for his record of supporting economic development agreements with Latin America and Ambassador Luis Gallegos for his work promoting human rights.
