Witherspoon Receives Promotion to Lead Revenue Generation for Atlantic Media Division

WASHINGTON, Jan. 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Government Executive Media Group today announced the appointment of Constance Sayers Witherspoon to the position of Publisher. In this new role, Witherspoon will take on responsibility for revenue generation across Government Executive's entire brand portfolio, including Government Executive, Nextgov, Excellence in Government and Government Business Council.

With her promotion, Ms. Witherspoon returns to the division of Atlantic Media Company where she previously led marketing and events from 2000–2006 and was responsible for producing the Excellence in Government Conference, Excellence in Government West, the Service to America Medals Gala, and the Leadership Breakfast Series. After stints at The Council for Excellence in Government and CQ/Roll Call, Ms. Witherspoon re-joined Atlantic Media in 2010 to serve as vice president of sister division National Journal LIVE. After building a multi-million dollar events business for National Journal, she was then promoted in 2011 to Associate Publisher where she led the National Journal ad sales team.
