Continuing Care Program of Timberline Knolls Opens in Orland Park
Nation's leading treatment center for women opens new partial hospitalization program (PHP) for adult women struggling with eating disorders, addiction, mood, trauma and co-occurring disorders
ORLAND PARK, Ill., Jan. 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Timberline Knolls, a leading residential treatment center for women and adolescent girls, is extending its treatment services by opening a new partial hospitalization program (PHP) in Orland Park, Ill. The program will offer treatment for up to 30 women initially, ages 18 and older, who struggle with eating disorders, addiction, mood, trauma and other co-occurring disorders.
"Our new PHP will maintain the same treatment philosophy that's found at our residential center in Lemont, Ill.," said Jessica Elbe, MSW, LCSW, continuing care director of Timberline Knolls. "We offer an ideal and healing environment for those transitioning from or to our residential center, or admitting directly to the PHP. We utilize the therapeutic strategies of dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and recovery principles of the 12 step program, giving our clients the best possibility for life-long recovery."
As a part of the growing healthcare community in Orland Park, which recently included the opening of the new University of Chicago Medicine Center for Advanced Care, Timberline Knolls' PHP program offers comprehensive, therapeutically intensive, structured clinical services for women. Clients engage in individual, family and group therapy, as well as experientials such as art therapy and exposure-based outings. Programming is offered Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3:30 pm.
The Continuing Care clinical team includes a staff psychiatrist and nurse; registered dietitian; therapists, including Christian and expressive; admission and aftercare counselors; care coordinator; and administrative staff.

They support families by helping them to navigate their policies and understand the extent of their mental health benefits.
