Working with solutions sponsors Stibo Systems and ActionTek Incorporated, Cooper utilized Stibo's STEP master data management application to successfully organize approximately 2,500 product families, including 1.4 million pieces of textual, numeric, image, ordering, line art and other data. The data directly drives multiple applications including the company's website and print and electronic editions of Cooper's Product Selection Guide. When data updates are made in STEP, they are directly reflected on the website after appropriate quality approvals. In addition, the MDM system facilitates digital product data for accurate specifications in such applications as BIM and supports the configuration of custom products.
