CopaSAT is excited to announce the strategic hiring of Steve Carpenter, as General Manager and the newest addition to the executive team that is required to facilitate continued rapid growth. Additionally, we would like to recognize the significant achievements of Scott Bohnsack, COO, who will become the CEO of CopaSAT. Obie Johnson, the founder and former CEO of CopaSAT, will remain the Managing Partner as he turns over the position of President/CEO to Mr. Bohnsack.
Mr. Carpenter brings with him over 20 years of experience developing and implementing Field Support Services and world-class customer service to both Government and commercial clients, most recently in his previous role as Vice President of DoD Operations at Comtech Telecommunications Corp. His support portfolio includes US military operations, IT infrastructure, and Broadcast Services. In addition, Mr. Carpenter has successfully managed teams of 300 engineers and support professionals deployed within CONUS and OCONUS.

Mr. Bohnsack has been at CopaSAT for two years and was originally hired as the Vice President of Business Development in 2016. During his time at the company, Mr. Bohnsack oversaw almost triple revenue growth and became COO by his second year. He played a significant role in the acquisition of Eclipse Composites. In his previous roles, Mr. Bohnsack served as CEO and Executive Vice President of North America and Australia for Northrup Grumman M5 Network Security. Additionally, he served as Vice President of Federal Sales and Marketing at TeleCommunication Systems, Inc.
