CORE Transport Technologies Hits 15,000 with Bluetooth® Tags
NELSON, New Zealand, Aug. 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- CORE Transport Technologies (core-tt.com) announced a major milestone today: its 15,000th COREInsight Bluetooth® Tracking tag shipped out for active deployment. This achievement reflects the success of the entire CORE team who through their accomplishment demonstrated the Company's core set of values – innovation, curiosity, quality, and speed. A major waypoint on this journey was the global launch of the technology at the ULD Care Conference in Budapest, Hungary (October 2017). Achieving 15,000 tags shipped squarely places CORE as the largest Internet of Things ("IoT") provider in the Air Carrier industry. CORE's Bluetooth location services has, in nine short months, created the world's largest Bluetooth Low Energy ("BLE") network in commercial air transport, as measured by reader services and units tracked.

The COREInsight Bluetooth® Tracking tag started as an idea in early 2016. CORE's extremely agile and pioneering R&D Department completed operational trials during the first half of 2017. The patented container and pallet tags (coupled with our gateway readers) utilize Bluetooth Low Energy beacons to actively track assets. Compared to other tracking solutions used to manage assets and shipments, the introduction of COREInsight Tracking to the world brought dramatic increases in battery life, field of view, ease of installation and cost effectiveness. CORE's patented plug-and-play readers can convert any location into an IoT hub within minutes. Public deployment started immediately after launch customers Delta Air Lines, Air New Zealand and Alaska Airlines, along with our Sales Agent teammate ACL Airshop, realized the benefits of automated ULD tracking and an interconnected fleet. To date over 15 airlines are in various stages of implementation with CORE's technology resulting in full deployment of BLE on their ULD fleets.
Today, CORE's network for tracking extends to over 100 major airports and 650 sub-locations worldwide. Network growth is increasing exponentially as exemplified by the addition of 30 new cities and 85 sub-locations just last month. The CORE network footprint spreads to six continents and allows customers to manage their assets at most major airports.
