CPLANE NETWORKS and KnowISys Join Forces to Accelerate and Optimize OpenStack® Clouds
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Aug. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- CPLANE NETWORKS Corp. and KnowÏSys, Inc. today announced that they have partnered to deliver high-performance OpenStack networks for enterprises and cloud service providers. OpenStack is the leading open source software platform for building private and public clouds and is quickly becoming the standard for companies looking to deliver agile IT services.
CPLANE NETWORKS Dynamic Virtual Networks (DVN) dramatically accelerates the deployment and improves the performance of OpenStack virtual networks. Using powerful information modeling, state management and path computation, DVN creates secure virtual networks that are optimized for performance and reliability. KnowÏSys deploys lean innovation practices to accelerate new technologies into the market and is partnering with CPLANE NETWORKS to streamline cloud deployments through integrated design, planning and automation of the entire OpenStack life cycle.
"Enterprises and service providers need to solve the application deployment dilemma. OpenStack is poised to deliver agile IT services to accelerate those deployments, but the lack of functionality and limited performance of the Neutron networking service inhibits OpenStack's real potential," said Brandon Williams, CEO of CPLANE NETWORKS. "We've unleashed the power of OpenStack networking with DVN and have gone one step further by eliminating a major bottleneck and single point of failure in the Neutron architecture – the Network Node."
"Customers need agile cloud services to respond to increasingly shorter and more demanding business cycles," said Larry Lozon, Founder and Managing Partner of KnowÏSys. "They want the benefits that public clouds offer, but with more control, better security and improved operational oversight. KnowÏSys accelerates the OpenStack design and deployment process while ensuring operational control and integrity. CPLANE's lightweight, easy to deploy SDN solution delivers the performance, scalability and reliability that today's large data centers demand."
"DVN unleashes the power of virtual networking. By leveraging KnowÏSys lean innovation process, experience and insight we're significantly reducing the time and cost to build agile OpenStack clouds." said Williams.
